Social Gathering cum Food Fair

Details confirmed as below:

Date: Wednesday, 17^th. November, 1999

Time: 1pm

Venue: Rosamund Room, Grosvenor Place

§           Food will be brought from Makcik. 

§           Apart from nasi lemak there will be Fried Koay Teow, Mee Gorent, Curry Puff and Spring Roll

§           Can drinks are to be sold as well. Zarique, Fahmi and Fazir are to buy the drinks. To buy around 50 pax.

§           The sound system would be provided by Chia Yen. All Committee are required to bring some good CDs.

§           A membership drive would be held during the gathering as well. Seow Yan to bring membership forms and membership cards.

Disco

§           Zarique to get help from Kamal (a friend) to obtain tickets from Royales.

§           Zarique to get back to Amy as soon as possible

§           Amy to write draft for publicity and to email to Fahmi

§           Committee members to sell tickets to members. Each Committee member would be given tickets to sell.

Cheshire Oaks Shopping Trip

§           Zarique and Faye to look into the planning of this trip.

Edinburgh Trip

§           The trip to be KIV for next semester.

§           However, a day trip is being planned in place of this trip.

§           The destination is yet to be confirmed. To obtain suggestions from members during the Social Gathering.

§           Faye will be looking into it.

Documents to be prepared

§           Activity List: with detailed description of each activity, and the Date, Time, Venue. 20 copies to be made to be distributed during the Social Gathering.

§           Sign up list of each activity. To be filled in by members during the Social Gathering.

Sponsorship

§           To obtain sponsorship from shops mainly in terms of discounts for members.

§           Seow Yan and Chia Yen to check out the Chinese shops and restaurants.

§           Amy and Faye to do the miscellaneous shops in city centre.

§           Fahmi, Farhat, Zarique and Fazir to do the shops and restaurants in Rusholme.

§           To do this in our spare time but to report back on the 24^th. November, 1999.

§           To write a short piece on ourselves around 50 words to be put up on the website.

§           To email it to Chin by Monday, 15^th. November, 1999.
